“ Beyond yummy grabandgo baked goods, Crispian has made us two delicious custom birthday cakes for our kids with great decoration! Unlike many bakeries, they can take custom cake orders the week before, which saved me on one occasion. The bakerowner is very open to working with you on what you want. Our first cake had one layer of vanilla cake and one layer of chocolate cake with our choice of frostings inside and out. More recently inspiring this review!, we had them substitute lemon curd instead of passion fruit in their chantilly cake and it was lovely our whole family raved about how light, moist, and flavorful it was, without being too sweet. Outside of special occasions, we love grabbing Crispians sesame loaf when were making soup for dinner. ”

“ Crispian Bakery is a great place to get pastries or coffee. The staff is sweet and super helpful. I went twice while on a four day trip. Both times the food was amazing and my lattes were delicious. My daughter can be a little shy to try new food and drinks. The staff there made her feel encouraged to try something out of her comfort zone and even said if she didnt like it theyd give her something else for free. I will be going again next time Im in Alameda! ”

“ Nice little bakery with great prices for their breads and other items. We were a bit late in the day so many of the daily specials were sold out. I got a cinnamon roll, sticky bun bread pudding, and a pumpkin muffin. The pumpkin muffin had no wheat and since it could come into contact with wheat it wasnt labeled gluten free. I liked the orange icing on the cinnamon roll but would have liked more cinnamon in the roll. My favorite was the sticky bun bread pudding! I ate half of it cold and the other half microwaved and loved it both ways. I wish that there was a table or two inside. ”
